Cancel Absentee Ballot or Mail-In Ballot for 2020 General Election
If you are a registered voter in Centre County and have requested to receive an absentee ballot or a mail-in ballot for the 2020 General Election but would prefer to vote in-person on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, you can request to cancel your absentee ballot or mail-in ballot.
The Centre County Board of Elections has created a process whereby voters can send a letter to the Elections & Voter Registration Office via email or mail to request to cancel their absentee ballot or mail-in ballot application.
Return the completed letter to the Centre County Elections & Voter Registration Office by email or mail. Both the email and mailing address are included in the letter template (.docx).
The Centre County Elections & Voter Registration Office will confirm the cancellation of your vote-by-mail request for the 2020 General Election to you through email or mail.
If the Pennsylvania Department of State creates a form to allow voters to cancel their vote-by-mail ballot, the Centre County Board of Elections will post that form on this web page. All previous requests using the Template Letter developed by Centre County will still be accepted and valid.
