Centre County Envirothon

The Centre County Conservation District sponsors the Envirothon, a competition for high school students. The Canon Envirothon is an environmental competition that promotes goals of environmental education in grades 9-12. It recognizes students who achieve excellence in environmental and natural resource knowledge. The Centre County Conservation District sponsors the Envirothon on the local level. Students from school districts throughout the county participate. The District provides study materials, schedules resource personnel and coordinates the day's events at a local park. The winner of the county competition goes on to compete on a statewide level. The winner of the state competition competes with other states and representatives from Canada to capture the national title. Pennsylvania Envirothon

Pennsylvania Envirothon, a statewide competition that educates high school students in natural resources and environmental sciences and emphasizes the importance of environmental sensitivity, and Digital-first Sponsor PSECU, launched a free, educational app. Dubbed “Pennsylvania Envirothon,” the app is now available free for download for both Android and Apple devices.

This app is a study guide for Pennsylvania Envirothon competitors, with a new flashcard functionality to allow for self-testing. 

The Pennsylvania Envirothon app was made possible with financial support from Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, PSECU.
