Do you or someone you know have a special need that would require special assistance in the event of a major disaster, particularly in the event of a large scale evacuation?
Persons with special needs are defined as, "Individuals who are likely to require assistance in excess of that provided to the general public in a time of disaster" This could include those who are deaf, blind, bedridden, mentally impaired, without radio or television, or lacking transportation necessary to evacuate.
This website has been developed to collect information about persons with special needs living within Centre County. The information will be kept confidential and only made available to emergency response personnel during a major disaster.
