Integrity Unit

The public integrity unit ensures that anyone who commits a crime in Centre County, regardless of position or standing, is held accountable. Integrity Officer Megan McGoron reports directly to the District Attorney and is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of cases involving public officials, corruption in government and law enforcement officers. Allegation of prosecutorial misconduct and claims of innocence are reviewed by the unit to ensure that convictions have integrity and individuals are not wrongfully convicted. Law enforcement related shootings or incidents involving injuries to civilians are reviewed by the unit in order to determine the lawfulness of the conduct.
