Long term care facilities and nursing homes have regulations that safeguard the rights of individuals that reside there. An Ombudsman is a trained individual who helps protect the rights of individuals living in both long term care facilities and nursing homes.
The Ombudsman provide information, answer questions, investigate complaints and offer assistance to resolve problems about the quality of care and treatment individuals receive while living there.
